Coastal LocationsNorfolk has nearly one hundred miles of some of the most interesting coastline in England sweeping round in a smooth curve from the historic port of Kings Lynn to Gt Yarmouth in the east. Between the cliffs of Hunstanton and Weybourne, the coastline is made up of , salt marshes, shingle ridges, sand dunes and mudflats. East from Weybourne the sandy cliffs rise past the seaside resorts of Sherringham and Cromer, and onto Mundesley. South from here lies of Happisburgh, where the cliffs disappear to be replaced by sand and shingle beaches all the way to Gt Yarmouth with its funfairs and pier.

Rural The county remains one of farms, small towns and picturesque villages interspersed with a maze of waterways, marshes and fields dotted with, churches and windmills. There are low hills and heath land stretching from Holme on the coast, to Thetford, its surrounding landscape dominated by thousands of acres of scots pine. The rivers of Norfolk are slow flowing, meandering through meadows often only a few feet above sea level, creating such unique areas as the Broads, Britain’s largest protected wetland.

Country PropertiesNorfolk has more than its fair share of great houses, impressive ruins and country properties, with few counties rivalling Norfolk in its sheer number of stately homes including the eighteenth century Holkham and Blickling halls. Apart from the large Estates, Norfolk has an amazing variety of country properties from faded rectories to thatched cottages, and farmhouses to houseboats. Whatever type of country property you require it's probably in Norfolk.
